What is Thai massage?
Thai massage offers a unique approach to holistic wellness by not only manipulating muscles and promoting relaxation, but by targeting energy pathways and restoring balance within the body.
It is a traditional healing practice that combines acupressure, assisted yoga-like stretching, and rhythmic compression along energy lines in the body. Unlike other forms of massage it is typically performed on a mat on the floor, with the client wearing loose, comfortable clothing. The treatment can be modified for smaller spaces in order to be performed on a massage table. The therapist uses their hands, elbows, knees, and feet to apply pressure and guide the patient through passive stretches. Thai massage is known for improving flexibility, reducing muscle tension, and promoting overall relaxation and energy flow.
Some of the most common benefits are:
-
Relieved stress
-
Enhanced mind and body
-
Relieved headaches
-
Improved circulation
-
Increased range of motion
-
Relieved muscle soreness and joint pain
Is Thai massage right for me?
Thai massage is an excellent option for people with an active lifestyle, those who enjoy a full-body experience, need assisted stretching, or seek to complement their athletic training. Thai massage may not be suitable for all conditions and it's important to let your Massage Therapist know of any medical conditions or sensitivities that may be helpful prior to care. Not sure if Thai massage is right for you? Give us a call and we would be happy to answer any questions you have.
Stress Relief
Thai Massage stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system through rhythmic pressure, deep stretching, and acupressure techniques which in result promotes a sense of peace and provides healing through support of our body's self-regulating processes.
Reduced Chronic Headache Pain
Thai massage utilizes a range of stretching techniques and acupressure that have shown to reduce headache pain especially for patients suffering from chronic tension-type headaches.
Better Circulation
By applying constant therapeutic pressure, warmth and motion, this massage can increase blood flow throughout your body, delivering oxygen and nutrients to your muscles to aid in healing.
Stress, Anxiety, and General Relief
The focused pressure and techniques our Registered Massage Therapists use during a Thai massage is helpful to calm your nervous system, relieve stress, and compliment your wellness routine.
Improved Mobility
By addressing muscle tightness and restrictions through stretching and applying pressure, Thai massage can help increase your range of motion and make daily activities easier.
Pain Relief
By using firm pressure and rhythmic movements Thai massage can target specific areas of pain and muscle tension, helping to alleviate discomfort caused by overuse, strains, or other injuries.

What Our Clients Are Saying
"The people are great! Friendly staff and flexible appointments. They have direct billing with insurance too which is really nice. I've been going in for deep tissue massage for the last 3 weeks and my muscles are finally loosening up. Grace is amazing at deep tissue massage. I highly recommend her if that's what you're looking for... and it takes me a lot to say that. I don't give praise unless it's deserved."
Tannis Mason
"I dealt with shoulder pain for a year and half. I saw multiple massage therapists throughout that time and no one could seem to relieve the pain and stiffness. One session with Craig and he fixed it. He even knew the cause just based on my description of the issue before we even started the massage. I highly recommend him!"
Candida Tookey
"Amazing results! I've been meeting with Craig for a few months now, and we've managed to completely obliterate my chronic shoulder pain. Craig uses a number of different modalities to address issues you may be experiencing. He's enthusiastic about his work, and it comes through in our sessions. Craig's jovial and professional personality was key to putting any hesitations I may have had at ease, as he was the first male massage therapist I've worked with. Always comfortable, always professional."
Kim Davidson
"Lexy was great. She's clearly passionate about massage, health & fitness, and she was very knowledgeable on ways to correct tightness in my body. She even provided stretching suggestions/examples specific to my problem areas after my massage time had run out."
