RAPID neurofascial Reset (RAPID NFR) is a treatment approach targeting the nervous system's role in pain and movement limitations. Unlike traditional massage that focuses on muscle relaxation, RAPID NFR focuses on desensitizing the nervous system to calm its overactive response. This overactive response can be caused by various factors like injuries, repetitive strain, or poor posture. It can lead to tight muscles, pain, and limited mobility. As the name implies, these treatments are much quicker than massage therapy sessions. Focusing on the areas of concern only, these treatments are typically around 15 minutes per area of concern. During a RAPID NFR session, our St. Albert Massage Therapist will assess the texture, tightness, and movement of your muscles, fascia (connective tissue), tendons, ligaments, and nerves. Precisely directed pressure is applied to identified hypersensitive areas while you perform specific movements.
What is RAPID neurofascial reset (NFR)?
While generally safe, RAPID NFR might not be suitable for everyone. People with certain health conditions, recent surgeries, or injuries should consult their doctor before trying it. During a RAPID NFR session, your movements may be uncomfortable initially as the nervous system is stimulated. However, this is part of the process of retraining it to function normally and does not last long.

Is RAPID NFR right for me?
St. Albert RAPID NFR might be a good option for you if you're experiencing chronic pain, muscle tightness, or limitations in your movement that haven't responded well to relaxation massage or other therapies. It can be helpful for conditions like headaches, back pain, plantar fasciitis, and even some repetitive strain injuries. However, if you have any concerns or pre-existing health conditions, talk with your doctor. We will also go over your medical history and perform an assessment before determining your treatment! Give us a call if you have any questions or concerns!
Pain Relief
By desensitizing the nervous system and addressing areas of hypersensitivity, RAPID NFR can significantly reduce chronic or acute pain throughout the body. This can help with headaches, migraine, back pain, and even nerve pain.
Better Range of Motion
RAPID NFR helps retrain the nervous system and loosen fascial restrictions, allowing you to move more freely and improve your overall flexibility and range of motion.
Increased Proprioception
Proprioception is your body's awareness of its position in space. RAPID NFR, through specific movements and nervous system stimulation, can improve your proprioception, helping you with balance and coordination.
Supported Injury Recovery
By addressing nervous system overactivity and fascial restrictions that can impede healing, RAPID NFR is often used to facilitate the recovery process from injuries.
Enhanced Sports Performance
Given that RAPID NFR helps increase mobility, proprioception, and pain relief, this can all contribute to improved athletic performance. It can even help your day-to-day movements!
Overall Improved Wellness
Our Massage Therapists in St. Albert use RAPID NFR to address the underlying cause of pain, retraining the nervous system. This can lead to longer-lasting pain relief and improved movement patterns.
Decreased Reliance on Medication
RAPID neurofascial reset can reduce your need for over-the-counter medications. When your sleep and physical health improve, it can result in less frequent use of medications that you might be taking for physical and mental help.

What Our Clients Are Saying
"The people are great! Friendly staff and flexible appointments. They have direct billing with insurance too which is really nice. I've been going in for deep tissue massage for the last 3 weeks and my muscles are finally loosening up. Grace is amazing at deep tissue massage. I highly recommend her if that's what you're looking for... and it takes me a lot to say that. I don't give praise unless it's deserved."
Tannis Mason
"I dealt with shoulder pain for a year and half. I saw multiple massage therapists throughout that time and no one could seem to relieve the pain and stiffness. One session with Craig and he fixed it. He even knew the cause just based on my description of the issue before we even started the massage. I highly recommend him!"
Candida Tookey
"Amazing results! I've been meeting with Craig for a few months now, and we've managed to completely obliterate my chronic shoulder pain. Craig uses a number of different modalities to address issues you may be experiencing. He's enthusiastic about his work, and it comes through in our sessions. Craig's jovial and professional personality was key to putting any hesitations I may have had at ease, as he was the first male massage therapist I've worked with. Always comfortable, always professional."
Kim Davidson
"Lexy was great. She's clearly passionate about massage, health & fitness, and she was very knowledgeable on ways to correct tightness in my body. She even provided stretching suggestions/examples specific to my problem areas after my massage time had run out."
